Intronization – Hotel Arts

It has long been a tradition that our Christmas Dîner Amical, or Chapitre be held at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, we were set to return to that tradition this year. Alas, COVID has changed many traditions. We are honoured and very grateful that Hotel Arts was able to host us on this auspicious occasion.
To begin this evenings celebrations we witnessed the intronizations. Our last intronization was at Hotel Arts in September of 2019 as part of Calgary’s Grand Chapitre, so perhaps we have created a new tradition.
Joe Scorgie, Vice-Chancelier welcomed us to the evening, introduced Toni-Marie Ion-Brown, Bailli, Tony Cantanese, Bailli Délégué, and David Tetrault, Conseil d’Administration.
Tony Cantanese, Bailli Délégué gave us a brief history of la Chaîne de Rôtisseurs, and introduced David Tetrault, Conseil d’Administration who then had those receiving Commandeur pins, and new inductees stand to swear their oath to La Chaîne.
Then ceremony began with presenting several Commandeur pins. These pins are awarded to members in good standing who have supported Chaîne for ten or more years.
Next we moved on to the new inductees. After the oath of allegiance to la Chaîne, the new members were intronized.
We had several members who joined l’Ordre Mondial, they were dubbed with the ceremonial wand, and drank a toast.
Having concluded most of the formalities for the evening we gathered for the reception.
